This would have been a good spring game to watch!

JCU played Case Western Reserve this past weekend.

It's somewhat unusual to play a team in the spring that is on your schedule for the fall, but these teams play each other almost every year, so I'm sure it doesn't matter much.  The last three games in a row they have tied during their regular season games!

Carnegie Mellon played Point Park (NAIA, but pursuing DII) this past weekend in its Spring Game.

No score, but Point Park and Carnegie Mellon both posted some pictures and pictures from the game on their respective Instagram pages

The Men's and Women's Soccer Committees are reportedly surveying members about allowing schools to schedule more than one game in the spring.  That is a reaction to the change in the rules to increase the maximum number of practice days from 16 to 24, but still only one of those days to be used for games (you can play more than one on that day, but you have to play shorter games or do more rotation so players don't play more than one full game as I understand it).  I think many people think that if you can now have 24 spring practice days and you can spread them out over most of the semester instead of only 5 weeks, it would be nice if you could have more than one game day, whether in the last week or perhaps midway through and again at the end.

QuoteMen's and women's soccer. The committee received an update from the men's and
women's soccer liaisons . . . Staff also updated the Championships Committee on a concept being considered to change the permissible contests allowable in the nontraditional season. The soccer committees are in the process
of receiving feedback from the Sport Science Institute . . . and will share that once
it is analyzed.
