With the demise of d3soccer.com, I miss the extensive work that Cristan did prior to the tournaments.  Here is my effort at showing who has captured Pool A slots, who has been knocked out of conference tournaments, and who is still playing.

Records are current as of last night, as are the R v R numbers.  I did not update the SOS numbers, so I used the ones from the last regional rankings.

Teams highlighted in red have clinched a Pool A.  Basically, among ranked teams currently this only applies to Emory.  Teams in yellow have been eliminated from Pool A consideration and will need Pool C.  Teams not highlighted are still alive in their conference tournaments and some of them will wind up earning Pool A bids.  Remaining games for each of the non-highlighted teams are included.  I will update at the conclusion of each day, wrapping it all up on Sunday night.

Thanks for doing this, CSO.

Couple of quick reactions...the Emory-UR match may be v important for UR.

Your notes say ODAC loser gets Pool C and didn't see that kind of note elsewhere...for me W&L is a virtual lock but Lynchburg might be sweating it out.

Good catch.  I tried it with speculation and found it too difficult.  Missed on while deleting.  I may speculate Sunday night.

Appreciate the work!

If anybody wants to track the conference championships: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17-ic3NbeU2Qo8urgoQ_Oh5PXVNixK0vrjlbeza7-YK8/edit?usp=sharing

Due to different time zones and game times changing, there may be a discrepancy between the time listed and actual game time.

Have it restricted at the moment and will do my best to update in the evenings/mornings. If anybody has an interest in assisting, feel free to shoot me a message.

I know.... really, really difficult...all the math makes my head spin.

Also there are a few instances where SoS changes cld be enough to tilt things either way for at least a few teams.

Yes, thank you! It's far to complicated for me. I see you have a note that the ODAC loser gets a Pool C bid . . .why? (I hope you are right!).

College Soccer Observer

I was speculating.  Decided to delete all of that and save it for Sunday.  Missed one in the process.

Washington and Lee is a lock in my opinion.  I wouldn't worry haha

This is fantastic as I sweat out my son's Mules chances. Thanks for the work!

Nice work as well.  As this shows, Pacific Lutheran is the one automatic qualifier that doesn't show up on College Soccer Observer's spreadsheet in red because it is not regionally ranked and the NWC does not have a conference tournament.  In fact, the NWC is still playing regular season games now, but PLU has already clinched first place.

By the way, the American Southwest Conference final is Concordia Texas v. University of Texas at Dallas.  The semifinals were yesterday, 11/2, not today, 11/3

Awesome work, CSO - thanks!

One minor suggestion:  the UX part of me would suggest green rather than red for teams that have clinched ;)

Question for all those geeking out this weekend trying to figure out teams' chances who may have thoughts based on based selection experiences...how reliable do you all feel the Massey Ratings are in reflecting both team strength/standing and conference strength/standing as the committee evaluates teams and conferences?

soccerpapa

Great work for a "one stop figure out the craziness spreadsheet" for the soccer community.  Thoughts on North Central College making the playoffs?
