I thought this might be worthy of its own topic. I'm no expert so please add the games you think might be interesting each week.

1. John Hopkins at Washington and Lee - Friday 8/30 at 1:00 EDT
2. Gustavus Adolphus at Chicago Friday 8/30 at 2:00 CT
3. Ohio Northern at Kenyon - Friday 8/30 at 5:15 EDT
4. St. Olaf at North Central - Friday 8/30 at 7:00 CT

F&M v.Lynchburg on neutral turf. 2 o'clock on Sunday.

With the W&L v JHU also playing, sort of a ODAC v Cent Conf weekend.

Oglethorpe at Emory tonight at 7:00 ET

Nexus

Midd-Norwich, Tuesday 3 Sept, 16:00 at Middlebury. After serving as Midd's lead assistant and recruiting coordinator for the past three seasons, Rob Emmett steps into his new role as Head Coach of the Cadets and opens against a team he knows well.

Calvin have two tough away games this weekend.

Friday: 6:00 pm ET Calvin (2-0-0) at Ohio Wesleyan (2-0-0).
Saturday 7:00 pm ET Calvin at Ohio Northern (1-1).

ONU had a tough loss (3-2) at Kenyon on Friday but I expect they will be up for an important home game against Calvin. I'm not going to make any predictions. ONU will beat Calvin 2-1.

If you're looking for a game to watch this afternoon (and you broke down and paid for FloSports), Williams @ Wheaton (MA) should be a good one.  Wheaton is 2-0 after beating Montclair 2-1 and St. Joseph's ME 5-1.

Ohio Northern beat Calvin 5-1. There are a lot of good teams this year. It's going to be a roller coaster season.

D3 Parity is only increasing.  Lots of talent, and lots of good teams across the country.  While the usual suspects will likely be in the mix - this season still has a lot of unfolding to do.  Calvin will find their shape - but man they took a bad L

CC United

Carleton (3-0-3) at Gustavus Adolphus (5-0-1) tomorrow, Tuesday, September 17, at 4:00 CST. This MIAC showdown will will provide an answer for those who are questioning if Gustavus is for real. I'm not making any predictions for this one. Gustavus will win 2-0.

If you're looking for some games to watch out West before the weekend, here are a few that could be fun

Wed 9/18

Occidental @ Caltech at 4 pm Pacific

Caltech finished non-conference play at 5-1 and Oxy was 2-1-1.  It's a chance for Caltech to show that they are for real and to tie its all-time program record for wins at 6.  For Oxy, it's a chance to get back on track and to re-establish its credentials in the SCIAC.  The schools are about 7 miles away from each other, so this is a local game.  Not sure Caltech lets Oxy fans bring the drums and vuvuzelas.  Too many delicate lab instruments nearby.  Either way, maybe a few Caltech students will actually show up to watch ... doubt it.

Friday 9/20

Trinity at Mary Hardin-Baylor at 6 pm Central

First away game of the season for Trinity after going 4-0-2 at home, including an 8-0 win over Howard Payne.  Mary Hardin-Baylor is 3-2-1, but it beat St. Olaf in Minnesota and its only losses have been to Texas Lutheran and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.

UC Santa Cruz at Redlands at 7 pm Pacific

UCSC is 3-0-3 and is looking competitive, but ties against Pacific Lutheran and Willamette leave me unconvinced.  Redlands is 3-1, with wins against Luther, Puget Sound, and Whitman and the only loss against DII Cal Poly Pomona.  This is a chance for Santa Cruz to establish itself as legit and for Redlands to beat a team that has a pressing style and athleticism that may frustrate its passing game.

Wednesday in Lancaster Alvernia v. F&M.  Southeast PA derby.

Will be able to see how good the team that took a 3-2 win against #2 Cortland and see if F&M can turn it around. With a loss by F&M, they will have to pretty much run the table and win the Cent Conf to get to the NCAAs. F&M has also won at least 10 games a season since 2011. While they haven't consistently played Alvenia, they did beat them 4-0 last year.  However, last year seems like a long, long time ago.

Plus it won't cost you nothin.

Vassar vs Drew tomorrow is what I'll be watching.  Vassar off to a 4-1 start with one of the best freshman in the country, looking to repeat last year's performance against Drew who are also off to decent start at 4-1-1.

Cortland @ Ithaca Wednesday is another one I'll be keeping an eye on.

Good point!  All of the games listed in the west are sadly behind the FloSports paywall because the SCIAC and SCAC have both sold out.  If, however, you already subscribe to Flo because you're a fan of a Landmark or Newmac team, this is the way to maximize the value of your subscription (plus the times mostly won't interfere with east coast games)!  And, if you are a Region X holdout, you can always watch Colorado College @ Christopher Newport and avoid FloSports entirely.  That should be a humdinger of a game too!
