I was looking at the updated alumni Roster and couldn't help but to feel sorry for the Running backs on the JV team those LB's & Rovers are Animals, everyone of them can take the head off of any running back, Ouch!!! I wouldn't even want the ball!!! :D

i for one vote NO on the joe smouth appointment. i think there are others that should get the job. joe may be a great guy but a head coach for the cats ..  not yet.

Interesting choice of words "not yet" how long do you have to be coaching? My numbers may be off but I think Locey was at Linfield for 13 years before becoming the head coach assuming Joe's been coaching there since he graduated in 92' that would be 13 years under his belt as well (starting in 93'-06'). Who else personifies the Linfield tradition more so then Joe or Hire?  Have you been around any practices with players and coaches interacting? Your opinions seem to say, yes so I'm wondering what makes you think that Gilstrap was a mistake and that other should get the Head coaching job over Joe or even Hire? (assuming you're saying if Joe shouldn't get the job Hire shouldn't as well)

How quickly we forget the great running backs that Locey coached before the Brett Elliot era.  I hope I don't have to name them!

You have to be kidding me!!!  Only man for the job is JOE SMITH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm sooo disappointed he's leaving!!

I'll say it again it better be Joe Smith as his replacement or Linfield will lose something big, it's something that's just can't be explained and it's not tangible!!!!

anyone see Ed langsdorf on the College football home page for ESPN today?
if BE dosen't get drafted he could use his inside track to the chargers as a practice player or even as a third QB behind Rivers.

that didn't work to well.

switch Elliott and Collins.
Could LINFIELD win it all again? YES , just not as big

Wouldn't Occidental still be where they are? NO ,different offense for different QB's I think the Linfield offense is set up for Perfectly for Bret and I think the Oxy offense is set up for Collins "Vick-ish" if you will.

I'm tellin' ya Occidental has confidence. They ACT like they are good and so far no one has pulled the curtain.

You've been contemplating it over your bubbles so I will ask it of you before your Friday night imbibe...

If Oxy is the only SCIAC team to get in and they loose in the first round does that make last year a fluke? ??? Do we go right back to thinking they're an ease first round win?  ::)
The SCIAC has had one playoff run (in recent years) with Oxy. Should we be looking at Cal Lutheran more closely or will it take a few trips by Oxy to help the rest of that league get a pool C bid?  :-\

I'm sure they're more then a few of you who have an opinion on this, lets here it.  ;D

WU is the only game left that I have any reservations about, I would think by now the defense understands the Fly but, they always seem to play us tough and that freaking offense is just as annoying as a Fly!!!
