I was also on that team that beat Augie, the only team in 30 some years to do that.  Rucks did what he could with NPU, which is not a big draw school.  He has done great things at Carthage and I was lucky to have played for him.  I too was there pre and post Rucks and the pre Rucks made  North Park look like Michigan.  He instills confidence and demands the best.  Don't be surprised if they beat Augie this weekend.

Actually knowing someone who goes to North Park, They have decreased there tuition this year by a large percentage.  This was due to an excess of cash.  Interesting, only school I have ever heard who has decreased tuition.

redmen04,

sounds like a great idea.  I wanted to have an alumni football game this year, with all the proceeds going to the football team for homecoming weekend.  I got permission from the AD and Coach.  I sent letters out to some guys that i played with in the area to help me out and never heard from one of them.  I would love to help put this together.

Reidy,  How's it going?  Hope life is treating you well.  Hope to see you at a game.  Unfortunately i am reffing high school football in Ilinois and can't get to games until the season is over.  I actual refereed Chris Geocaris and Andy Boncher, coaches at a northern illinois high school.

I know what the Carthage website says about the name, but it actually goes back to its days in Illinois.  In Carthage Illinois there is a high school named Carthage and their mascot is the Blueboys.  So to play off that, Carthage College took the Redmen.

I would be upset if the name is changed.  But it looks like it is going to be a great season again in the CCIW.  I am also an ex Carthage defensive lineman and am looking forward to Carthage repeating this year.  Although it would be hard.  Good luck to all.

Also, I will keep all the IWU fans, players and community in my prayers for the loss of their players.
