the temple daily telegram reports that 190 showed  up for the start of UMHB football camp.  76 returners + 114 newbies.  A friend of mine who played DB for HSU said "that's a lot of tackling dummies!"
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

@d3jason

Every team in the conference had well over 100, except for McMurry who had 99.

That surprises me that McMurry did not break the 100 mark, I know its not about quantity but quality but I would have expected Mumme to load up for competition in practice.

On a side note I must say how excited I am about the higher level of technology that seems to be popping up on all the teams websites.

I drove by McM this morning and saw the team on the field.  It feels like August in Texas again

Talk about a double edged sword, on one hand we get football and on the other we get 100+ degrees

finkle89

McM had 99 show up for Varsity and will have close to 40-50 show up for the JV squad, we should have close to 140 on the field once the school yearstatts - good luck all teams - if tour son is playing I hope they have a safe and great year!!

Ala Cumba - "what ya say Tribe" - get ready for the Air Raid!! Glad it's football season!!

Eric Davis - McMurry class of 2005!!

Side note - look at University of Houston QB Case Keenum and son of former McMurry head coach Steve Keenum - great person and player and on the Heisman watch - great family!! Had to throw that up in the air!!

Welcome to the boards.

I guess that the easiest way is to start at a date in the off-season when you want to learn, remember the page number and start from there.

Look at the browser line and see this URL

http://www.d3boards.com/index.php?topic=3803.11205

"3803" is the ASC board and "11205" takes you to the post at the top of this page.

There are 1500 posts on 100 pages, and about 2200 posts per season.  I hope that helps.

You are looking at five previous seasons.   :)

I appreciate the help.  But most of the forums i am on (mostly fishing) give you the option of "viewing" the newest first and desend from there...just trying to stay caught up with current info....Thanks for the help. Can't wait for football :)

As ralph said, welcome.  To answer your question: @ the top of the page click profile.  there is a sidebar menu with a "look and layout preferences" tab.  Click there and its an option in the check boxes.

Also, if you log in, you can simply click on the icon that says "NEW" next to the topic and it will take you to the first post made since you last read the topic.

I don't find it very logical to scroll to the bottom of a page, read down then page up, read down then page up, read down then page up. But if you do, then Toby's advice should work for you. The option is there.

I guess I'm on here enough during football season that I rarely have to scroll down to read up.  ;D  The only time I have to page up is on boards for other regions.

Ralph have you heard anything about the strong safety for mcm, can't remember his name, but he was there all star last year. I heard he may be injured, and I was wondering who was taking his place for now?
