I think Aune and Hansen go out of there way to not be homers.  As a result, they overcompensate and defend everything our opponents do.

They also seem out of it when trying to describe the actual game.

Aune and Dean are great d3 announcers. They are knowledgable, enthusiastic, serious. I can forgive their faults. I get mostly annoyed with them when I am annoyed with the 'cats.

I also get annoyed when they have no clue where the ball is, who made the tackls, what day it is or who is playing.

wou is not good at a lot, but they are great at getting penalties.

They are still driving, but a penalty just moved them back.

I don't disagree with any thing you said about Aune and Hansen but they do get lost sometimes - after all, saying "ohhhhhh" without a follow up tells us listeners nothing.  If we want the D1 scores, we can check any number of other ways.  And the bending over backwards to not "homer" the other team really puts a damper on my listening pleasure.
