Although, it was unfortunate and hard news to hear that Mr. Collins wasn't invited back with the Giants, i hope that what ever path presents itself in Mr. Collins journey with football, i expect that it will be great for him. There is no doubt that Mr. Collins will have another chance some time soon and when that happens i hope the best for him.

As for Mr. Cory Ohnesorge, i also wish him the best off luck and i hope he continues to prepare himself to get better and still be on an NFL roster.

Same link that I posted for Andy Collins (http://www.wireimage.com/GalleryListing.asp?navtyp=GLS====273595&nbc1=2) has three pictures of Cory Ohnesorge at mini-camp.  A google search still gives him a Giant's website page w/ no info but his college.

Ugh!! Nothing fun about paying back the money. I'm finally in the clear and feel good.

AND...you've established credit!

The one great thing about paying money back. Very nice to have a great FICO score.

OK - this is not related to D3 or football, but it is sports related and the board is always a little slow in the depths of the off-season.

Click here for an espn.com story on a suit filed by the family of Cardinals' pitcher Josh Hancoock.  It appears that we are quickly abandoning any sort of expectations regarding individual accountability.

And how many of us SCIAC guys took out thousands and thousands of dollars in loans to do what? Play Football at our respected institution.  Any SCIAC player can to a Cal State or UC and get a degree for a much lesser price, but we just have to play football don't we?

I'm guessing that there are a lot of Stags, Sagehens, Tigers, Bullodgs, and Poets who would tell you that football was not the sole . . . or even the motivating reason that they chose their college . . . and would further tell you that the quality of their educational experience at a small private residential liberal arts college gives them advantages over their peers who attended larger, less expensive, public institutions of higher learning.

Both of the previous points are very valid.  I know many guys that went to ULV because they loved the small school environment but I also knew many that were there because it was their only chance to play ball.  Maybe those demographics are different at the other fine institutions that represent the SCIAC but I can only speak for La Verne.

Good one bob...show me.  While tragic and painful I'm not sure what part of drunk, stoned, speeding, cell phone and no seatbelt he doesn't get.  I don't know what else he could have been doing to create a worse scenario for himself...That will forever be known as the "Platinum Sombrero" of driving errors.

It just goes to show you that in this day and age of sue happy people, taking responsibilty for your actions is always for the other person. "It's not my son's fault" seems to be what his dad is saying. :'(
