OK, fine....Mt. Union sucks and doesnt stand a chance against Fisher on Saturday.  They havent played this kind of quality opponent on the road in NY and they will not know what hit them...especially the 2 FG's...

dlip is loving the FB talk here and would like to contribute. He knows the feeling regarding the lack of talk on the boards at times. In dlip's case, he is obsessed and is always wanting to hear and read more on the site. dlip used to tool on people who spent tons of time on blogs/internet/etc and now after three years of loving d3football.com dlip may have to tool on himself. d3football.com is the best. Anyway dlip's picks for the week:

*dlip feels Wick must prove first they can play without Phelan/Boltus before he gives them an inch. With Wick's D even Morrisville could seem like an offensive juggernaut. Also no way The Pride lose this one. Springfield is dlip's sleeper and with Carter improving (getting stronger and learning the system) they will be dangerous. There only ? is the D. The Saxons win easily and Ithaca does not even have to wear pads for the fourth quarter. Going with Utica's new #'s in camp (150?) feeling like they are only going to continue to improve, with those numbers they hopefully should. As much as it hurts, dlip feels like MUC is just going to role into pittsford and clobber SJF without much of a fight. He really hopes he is wrong here.

I hate to admit it but I can't see Fisher being very competitive in this one either. I am pulling for them like no other, but I will be happy when the game is over and Fisher does not have to play them any more. Don't get me wrong, I love having Fisher in the spotlight for a week each year. And I totally understand and respect the decisoin to play them the last two years. But, playing (and getting smoked by) MUC does not help Fisher make the playoffs. And Fisher not making the playoffs does not help me as a fan.

I think it is awesome when teams try to go out and schedule big time games in the non-conference schedule, but it does more harm than good in some cases. Hopefully the boys show up and make it a tighter game than the last few. I will be pulling hard for them.
