BC Special Teams and Head Coach Mike Clark has gone back to his Hokie Beamerball roots. Without the blocked punt for TD,blocked field goal, and blocked extra point that was returned for a safety vs W&L BC is not in the playoffs.
Against Thiel we block a punt for TD and an extra point as well. Great to see. We also have Awkard doing well on punt returns and Marcus Washington can take a Kickoff the distance at any time.

Yeah, I see even Religion Major caught on to your 'overlook the Eagles' campaign on that board.   ;)

I listened to the game Saturday and enjoyed the big BC win.  Toward the end of the game I heard the announcers say there was a cheap shot at Marcus Washington after the whistle. One fan that attended the game told me about this.   I was always taught that you "Win with dignity, lose with class and act like you've been there before regardless of the outcome."  Anybody else see anything or have any thoughts? This upsets me.  Marcus is a first class player and person. Go BC and thanks for representing the school in a first class manner!!!

yeah i'm not sure what happened there w/ marcus. the whistle blows, and 2 seconds later you see him on the ground. then the kid daps him up after he gets up... i think it was a frustration move by their kid, then he realized ah damn, that's messed up...
"99% ain't good enough"

I just saw (from a link on the frontpage) that former Eagle P.J. Berry is invited to the East Coast Bowl.

I thought I'd check his numbers out this year with Virginia State.  He led the team in receptions, QB efficiency rating (197), punt returns and kickoff returns, and only the kicker outscored him.

He scored a rushing td, receiving td, punt return td, and kickoff return td.  Nice year for a former Eagle!

no more dogging rowan's (away) uniforms... as the kids say these days: those new digs are fresshh

There were a few cheap shots late in the game, but I don't think any were really all that malicious.  BC handled them quite well...I think it was Winston who got knocked down and while laying on the ground decided to make a snow angel...CLASSIC.

I agree there were some late hits...not really cheap shots from the Tomcats. I was also close enough to the field to hear some jawing back and forth between the players. Talking to some of the posters...it has been mentioned that BC has some hot heads and talkers and I think that was the case. Nothing to really get too excited about. It was a shame to see it you never want to see it but I guess it was a sign of frustration from Thiel and some taunting or rubbing it in on BC. Again nothing to get upset about. Just part of the game that should not have happened but did.

Good luck next week BC hopefully you can shut down Wesley's high powered attack like you did to Thiel's!!!

GO TOMCATS!!!

Yeah,  I noticed the whites look nice.  But the Yellow ones are gaudier than ever.  And yes, that's a word.  It means more than gaudy, but less than guadiest.  Come to think of it, their yellows are guadiest.

;D

This man is great.  Not only has he made such a positive change to the campus attitude, he really supports the BC football team, home and away.

Do other college presidents travel six hours to away football games?  I really don't know, but I am so impressed with this man's commitment to Bridgewater.

Dr. Stone, I salute you.

I was playing for BC during the previous administration and was there for the beginning of Stone's.  The last president seldom traveled the 100 yards from his house to the stadium for the HOME games!!!!  It's nice to see the support from the administration.  It would have been nice to have that support (or even some fan support) prior to Stone arriving.  He's definitely changed the attitude about BC football.

I would say Dr. Stone's made positive changes in many aspects of BC, not just the football program.  Demand excellence in all you do....
